About
About ChargePeek
ChargePeek helps drivers find public electric vehicle chargers and understand what charging costs.
Where the data comes from
- Stations, ports, plug types, hours and listed prices: the US Department of Energy Alternative Fuels Data Center station database (public, open stations). This site was built from a snapshot of that data and lists 82,690 stations. The database is updated by operators and the DOE, so it can be out of date.
- Home electricity prices: US Energy Information Administration, Electric Power Monthly table 5.6.A, July 2026.
- Energy use and range of each car: US EPA fuel economy data.
- Gas price: US average regular gasoline, Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED), 2026-09.
Limits
Only about one in seven stations lists a price in the federal database, and many networks vary prices by site, time and membership. The prices on this site are medians of what is listed, not a quote. Chargers can be broken, busy or removed. Always confirm in the charging network's app.
